Douglas MacDiarmid

Douglas MacDiarmid (1922–2020) was a celebrated New Zealand-born painter known for his bold use of colour and wide-ranging artistic style. Based in Paris for much of his life, he built a successful international career, exhibiting across France, the UK, USA, Morocco, Greece, and New Zealand — where he held 41 solo shows. His work is held in collections around the world.
